Statewide sports: Ole Miss beats Vanderbilt 52–17

Ole Miss beat Vanderbilt 52–17 on Saturday, Oct. 10, in Nashville, improving to 4–1 overall and 2–1 in the Southeastern Conference. Vanderbilt fell to 3–3 overall and 0–3 in SEC play, according to Ole Miss Athletics’ official game recap.

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss accounted for four touchdowns. He completed 20 of 30 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns through the air, and added a rushing touchdown.

The Rebels took a 42–3 lead into halftime. Their defense forced four turnovers during the game, according to the official recap.

Ole Miss returns home to host Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The official recap lists kickoff at 2:30 p.m. Central.
