12-year-old actor Gracen Gray to star as Prince Rupert in ‘A Hairy Tale’ at Pontotoc Community Theater
Pontotoc, Miss. — Twelve-year-old actor Gracen Gray will play Prince Rupert in the upcoming production of “A Hairy Tale” at Pontotoc Community Theater.
Gray has been involved in theater for two years and is excited to showcase his versatility by playing multiple characters and making audiences laugh, according to a theater spokesperson.
He has previously appeared in several local productions, including “The Nutcracker,” “On Christmas Day in the Morning,” “Dr. Experimentor and the League of Evil,” “Sherlock Holmes,” and “Treasure Island,” the spokesperson said.
When not on stage, Gray enjoys drawing, gaming, and singing. A fun fact about him is that he can wiggle his ears, and his favorite food is Mexican cuisine, the spokesperson added.
The show runs at 106A North Main Street in Pontotoc. Performances are scheduled for Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 6, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10, with cash only at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online up to an hour before each show at Zeffy.com.
Doors open 30 minutes before each performance, with general admission seating. Theater officials encouraged audiences to come cheer on Gray as he takes the stage.
