Rainfall forecasts decrease through Saturday as Tropical Storm Arthur shifts southeast

Forecasted rainfall totals through Saturday continue to decrease, according to meteorologists. The change is attributed to the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur taking a more southeasterly path.

The highest rainfall amounts are expected in parts of northeastern Mississippi, where around 1.5 inches of rain could fall, officials said. Other areas are expected to see less rainfall as the storm shifts away from the region.

Forecasters continue to monitor the storm’s movement and its potential impacts. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and prepare accordingly.
