Pontotoc High School softball advances in first round of playoffs

Pontotoc High School’s softball team will host Florence in the first round of the MHSAA playoffs on Thursday evening.

The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at Lady Eagle Field in Florence. Admission is $10.

Temperatures are expected to be around 76 degrees. Fans can watch the game online via a livestream on the school’s YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/@pontotochighschoolsoftba-zj4sx?si=5fPjLBAyhnLIT55i, according to the school’s announcement.

The matchup marks the start of the postseason for both teams as they vie for a spot further in the playoffs.
