Pontotoc County Fourth of July Celebrations to Include Parade and Events

Pontotoc County will hold its annual Fourth of July celebration this July 4th, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, according to organizers.

A parade is scheduled through the county, with a route change announced for participants. Starting at the Pontotoc Junior High School parking lot, bike riders and children with battery-operated ride-ons can finish at the courthouse. All other participants are advised to turn right onto West Green Street and end at the parking lot behind Three Rivers or the First Baptist Church area.

Organizers said the event will feature a variety of activities and attractions to celebrate the patriotic holiday. Residents are encouraged to join the festivities and honor America’s 250th birthday.
