Pontotoc City school district to delay start of the school year
Pontotoc City Schools announced that they would be delaying the start of the school year. The announcement was made on Thursday via Facebook.
The district said the delay was due to the rise in the rate of cases in the area.

Due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the are, Pontotoc City School DIstrict will follow high spread protocol in the Welcoming Back Our Warriors Plan and extend summer break. School for all students will begin on Friday, August 14, 2020. Virtual school will also be postponed until August 14, 2020. Employees will return for professional development on Thursday, August 6, 2020.

Students Return: August 14th, 2020
The district is taking all necessary steps to provide a safe environment for student learning, based upon CDC guidelines and information provided by medical professionals.
