National Weather Service Warns of Gusty Winds in Northeast Arkansas and Missouri Bootheel

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a forecast for gusty winds this afternoon across parts of northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel.

Forecasters expect sustained winds of up to 25 miles per hour, with gusts reaching 40 to 45 mph. Residents are advised to secure loose objects before heading out and to exercise caution during the windy conditions.

The weather service also humorously reminded residents to be cautious with trampolines, especially on May the Fourth, to prevent them from turning into flying objects in the strong winds.
