Statewide: Mississippi directs UCC filers to new portal

The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office is directing Uniform Commercial Code filing and search customers to a new online portal starting Monday, Nov. 2, a statewide change for business filers.

The office’s transition notice sets the change for 8 a.m. CST and says the previous system is no longer accepting new filings. The new application replaces the old online filing system and has an updated interface.

Customers should use the new portal for filings, searches and other available UCC services, the notice says. It provides the link and directs users to follow the portal’s instructions for account registration, account access and subscription services.

UCC stands for Uniform Commercial Code. The Secretary of State’s overview describes the office as filing officer for documents that include financing statements for manufactured homes, transmitting utilities and farm liens.

The Business Services Division offers assistance at 601-359-1633. The official transition notice and agency overview are linked below.
