Heat Advisory Issued for Memphis Area Amid High Temperatures

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a secondary heat advisory for Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., citing forecasted heat indices exceeding 105 degrees Fahrenheit, according to officials.

Forecasters warn that heat indices could reach more than 110 degrees on both Monday and Tuesday. Additional heat alerts are expected to be issued in the coming days as temperatures remain high.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor activity, and take precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses, officials said.
