Fourteen-year-old Gibson stars as Elton in local theater production of ‘A Hairy Tale’

Gibson, 14, is set to perform as Elton in the upcoming production of “A Hairy Tale” at Pontotoc Community Theater, according to organizers. The young actor expressed enthusiasm for the role and the opportunity to meet new people through theater.

Gibson has previously appeared in productions including “The Enchanted Bookshop,” “Artist Retreat” and “Alice in Wonderland,” his family said. His love of performing keeps him returning to the stage year after year, they added.

When not acting, Gibson enjoys playing video games, drawing, writing, and reading. He also likes singing and doing karaoke, which he says makes the spotlight a natural fit for him. A fun fact from his family is that his favorite animals are chameleons and armadillos.

The production of “A Hairy Tale” will be performed at 106A North Main Street in Pontotoc, Mississippi, with showtimes on June 5, 6 and 7. Tickets are $10, cash only at the door, or can be purchased online up to an hour before each show at the Zeffy website.
