Flooding reports in Phillips County prompt flash flood warnings

Radar estimates show more than 5 inches of rain in Walnut Corner, Marvell, Lexa and Helena-West Helena, according to the National Weather Service.

A flash flood warning is in effect until 7:15 p.m. CDT for Friars Point, Mississippi; Marvell, Arkansas; and North Tunica, Mississippi. Authorities report 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen in the past few hours in these areas.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid flooded roads as authorities monitor the situation.
