Cooler air moves into the Mid-South, with warmer temperatures expected later this week

Cooler air is forecast to move into the Mid-South tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures are expected to reach the upper 70s and low 80s on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will begin to climb again toward the end of the week, with highs reaching up to 90 degrees from Wednesday onward.

Forecasters say residents can expect a brief break from the warmer weather before the heat returns later in the week.
