Catherine Powell Klipple, 99, leaves $1 million gift to UMMC’s MIND Center

Catherine Powell Klipple, who died at age 99, left a legacy of curiosity, compassion, and service. Her planned gift of $1 million to the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s MIND Center supports the development of a centralized building for neurodegenerative research.

The donation brings the center’s fundraising efforts to $10 million, according to UMMC. The funds will help advance vital research into neurodegenerative diseases.
