13-year-old Riley Stephens makes theater debut as Rapunzel in Pontotoc production
Riley Stephens, 13, is making her theater debut as Rapunzel in the production of “A Hairy Tale” at Pontotoc Community Theater in Mississippi. The show runs June 5 through June 7, with multiple performances at the local venue.
Stephens, in her first year in theater, said her favorite part of the experience has been meeting new people. Despite her limited stage experience, she has already impressed cast and crew, according to organizers.
Outside of theater, Stephens enjoys singing, drawing, and eating her favorite foods. She was adopted from Arizona and has a fondness for ducks and noodles, which she considers her unique combination of favorites.
Tickets are $10, cash only at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online up to an hour before showtime at Zeffy. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance, which feature general admission seating.
Supporters are encouraged to cheer on Stephens as she takes the stage for her first theatrical production. The show is presented by Pioneer Drama Service at 106A North Main Street in Pontotoc.
