Vehicle going wrong way down Highway 6 on Thanksgiving leaves Pontotoc County woman dead

A vehicle accident on Highway 6 on Thanksgiving night has left a Pontotoc County woman dead, according to MHP.

Halie Tanner, 23, of Thaxton was killed when a vehicle driven by Jacquette Davis of West Point struck her vehicle while travelling the wrong direction.

The crash happened on Mississippi Highway 6 east of Oxford around 7 pm on Thanksgiving night.

Davis, Tanner and  48 year old Komoto Davis of West Point, a passenger with Davis, died at the scene.
