Lady Warriors open season with sweep over Mooreville
Pontotoc opened up the 2020 season with a road tilt against the Mooreville Lady Troopers.
The first ride home was a little sweeter after a trio of dominating wins.
The Lady Warriors started on their highly anticipated season journey by dispatching the home team 25-13, 25-23, 25-11 and get a 1-0 start under their belt.
Pontotoc swung their way to victory, getting 37 kills in the match led by Sophmore Sadie Stegall with 8. Samya Brooks, Audrey Hamill and Kensley Nowicku combined for 19 kills.
Hamill and Scout Waldrop took to their new dual setter approach as they combined for 24 assists in the match. Caroline Howard led with 34 digs and 7 service aces, with Waldrop contributing 6 aces.
