Virtual SKYWARN Weather Spotter Course Scheduled for October 5

The next virtual SKYWARN weather spotter course will be held on October 5, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Interested participants can register for the class at weather.gov/meg/skywarn, the agency said.

The training aims to educate volunteers on how to identify and report severe weather conditions, helping improve local weather alerts and safety efforts.

Anyone interested in becoming a SKYWARN spotter is encouraged to sign up before the session date.
