Two rounds of storms expected across the Mid-South today
Two rounds of storms are expected to impact the Mid-South on Monday, according to weather forecasts. The first round is expected to occur through 3 p.m., primarily along the Tennessee River and east of the Mississippi River.
The second round is forecasted from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., sweeping across the entire Mid-South as storms move southeast from central Missouri. The main threat during both periods will be damaging winds, with large hail and heavy rainfall as secondary concerns.
Residents are advised to stay alert and be prepared for changing weather conditions throughout the day, the National Weather Service said.
