Storm Prediction Center issues slight risk for severe storms in parts of Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms on Tuesday across northeast Arkansas, the Missouri bootheel, and far western Tennessee, according to the agency.

A marginal risk (1 out of 5) has been designated for areas to the east. If storms reach severe limits, the main threats are expected to be large hail and damaging winds, the SPC said.

The forecast has medium-low confidence, with the primary window for severe weather expected to be in the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday.
