Severe weather threat continues into overnight in Mid-South

The threat of severe weather will persist into the overnight hours across northern parts of the Mid-South, according to the National Weather Service.

An approaching upper-level disturbance is interacting with a relatively unstable airmass, increasing the risk of severe storms. Damaging winds remain the primary concern, but marginally severe hail cannot be ruled out, officials added.
