Severe thunderstorms forecast for Mid-South on Wednesday

Multiple rounds of severe thunderstorms are expected to affect parts of the Mid-South on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A slight risk for severe storms has been issued along and west of the Mississippi River, while a marginal risk extends to areas east of the river. The primary threat from the storms will be damaging winds.

Large hail and flash flooding are also possible but considered secondary threats. Authorities advise residents to stay alert and prepare for potentially severe weather conditions throughout the day.
