Severe Storms Bring Lightning, Strong Winds to Western Kentucky

Severe thunderstorms moving through western Kentucky are producing heavy lightning and strong winds, according to weather reports.

The storms are progressing southeastward. The western edge of the system is expected to affect areas west of the Tennessee River over the next several hours, forecasters said.

Additional storms are developing over Iowa. Experts warn these may strengthen and follow a similar path as tonight’s storms, potentially impacting regions along that trajectory.
