September marks hottest month of summer, weather experts say

September has reached its midpoint, and weather officials confirm it has been the hottest month of the summer so far.

Experts note that temperatures have surpassed previous records, even as the days grow shorter and sunlight declines.

The record-breaking heat has surprised many, given the typical cooling trend during this time of year.

Meteorologists warn residents to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related issues as the month continues.
