Regions Bank pledges $2.5 million to UMMC Cancer Center in Mississippi

Regions Bank has committed $2.5 million to the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s (UMMC) cancer center and research institute, according to a news release from UMMC.

The donation supports the It’s About Time: The Campaign for the UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute, which aims to fund a new facility for cancer care and research in Mississippi. The center will consolidate multidisciplinary care, clinical trials, and innovative research under one roof, officials said.

UMMC officials said the new facility is a significant step forward in improving cancer treatment and research in the state. The campaign hopes to enhance access to advanced therapies and foster groundbreaking research to benefit patients across Mississippi.
