Pontotoc forecast calls for gusty Friday, sunny weekend

The National Weather Service in Memphis forecasts breezy conditions for Pontotoc on Friday, Oct. 16, with a small chance of rain during the morning before sunny, cooler weather over the weekend.

The agency’s 7:31 a.m. Friday forecast for Pontotoc County calls for a high in the mid-70s, northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. The chance of rain Friday morning is 20 percent.

Tonight, lows are expected in the upper 40s. North winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust to 30 mph during the evening, with skies mostly clear before becoming partly cloudy.

Saturday is forecast to be sunny with a high in the mid-60s and north winds of 10 to 15 mph, gusting to 25 mph. Clear skies Saturday night should bring a low around 40, followed by a sunny Sunday with a high in the lower 70s.
