Pontotoc Swim Team Excels at PAC the TAC Invitational

The Pontotoc swim team participated in the PAC the TAC Invitational in Tupelo on Saturday, finishing fifth among 16 teams overall. The boys’ team placed fifth, while the girls’ team also secured fifth place, according to team representatives.

Top individual performances included Carson Poynor, who finished eighth in the 100 butterfly; Thomas Jefcoat, who placed eighth in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke; Ruth Ann Burton, who finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke; Callie Anne Patrick, who placed fourth in the 100 butterfly; and Reagan Rackley, who finished fifth in the 100 butterfly.

Relay teams also contributed to the team’s success, with both the girls’ and boys’ 200 medley relays finishing sixth and the girls’ 400 freestyle relay placing fourth. A notable highlight was Jett Pollard, who qualified in all eight individual events for the season, marking a significant achievement for the swimmer and the team.

Team coaches and members expressed pride in the swimmers’ performances and encouraged continued effort and improvement. The team also thanked sponsor Lifted Nutrition for supporting their efforts.
