Pontotoc City Schools to Resume Classes Monday after Weather Closure

Pontotoc City School District will resume a regular schedule on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026. The district reports that all campuses have been thoroughly inspected and are safe for students and staff.

Power, water, and heating systems are fully operational, and breakfast and lunch will be served as usual. Transportation will run on normal routes and schedules.

District officials say staff are prepared to support students as they return to a regular school day. The district thanked families for their patience and support during last week’s weather-related disruptions.

School officials expressed eagerness for students to return to class on Monday.
