Pontotoc Christmas parade entries open for Dec. 7; deadline Nov. 23
Registration is open for Pontotoc’s annual Christmas parade on Monday, Dec. 7, with entries due Nov. 23. The Pontotoc County Chamber Main Street announcement names “A Very Merry Christmas” as this year’s theme and adds an online entry option alongside the paper form.
Participants can use the Chamber’s linked Google registration form or return printed paperwork to the Chamber. The online form asks for an entry type and contact information, along with a sentence describing the entry for the announcer. The Chamber lists its office at 109 N. Main Street in Pontotoc.
The published rules set entry charges at $25 per float, walking group or car club, and $10 per horse, payable by Nov. 23. The printable form specifies a noon deadline that Monday. Entrants with questions about how their group fits the listed categories should check with the Chamber before submitting.
Floats must have lights and reflect the parade theme. The rules prohibit throwing candy or other food and ask entrants to leave the Santa role to the organizers. Those requirements appear in the registration materials, which participants should read before signing up.
The paperwork contains details that need clarification: the printable form lists a 5:30 p.m. parade time, while the online form’s heading says 6:30 p.m., and their route descriptions differ. Entrants should confirm the start time and route with the Chamber at 662-489-5042 or chamber@pontotocchamber.com. Both registration sources are linked below.
