Nearly 1,000 graduates participate in University of Mississippi Medical Center commencement

Jackson, Miss. — Nearly 1,000 graduates from the University of Mississippi Medical Center were recognized Thursday during the institution’s 70th commencement ceremony at the Mississippi Coliseum.

Family members, friends, faculty and graduates gathered to celebrate the milestone, which highlights achievements, perseverance and the future of health care in Mississippi, according to UMMC officials.

The event was streamed live on the university’s website at umc.edu/commencement-live.
