Mid-South Sees Scattered Clouds and Warm Temperatures, Heat Advisory in Effect

Scattered clouds continue to drift across portions of the Mid-South, according to local weather reports. Temperatures in the northern counties are in the 80s, while southern areas are approaching 90 degrees.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for parts of north to central Mississippi, as officials warn residents to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.

Additionally, Tropical Storm Bertha is currently in the Gulf of Mexico, but no impacts are expected for the Mid-South region, forecasters said.
