Heat Wave Continues in the Mid-South with Temperatures in the 90s and 100s

The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, issued a heat alert for the Mid-South region, warning residents of persistent high temperatures.

Forecasters predict temperatures will reach into the 90s and even low 100s by the end of the week. The heat index, which combines temperature and humidity, is expected to stay above 105 degrees through at least Friday.

Officials advise residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and check on vulnerable populations. The ongoing heat wave is part of a broader pattern affecting much of the region, according to the weather service.
