Flash Flooding Threat Continues in Memphis Area, Flood Watch in Effect

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Flood Watch through 7 p.m. Tuesday due to an increased risk of flash flooding in the Mid-South. Forecasters say storms are training along a slow-moving frontal boundary, which could lead to significant flooding.

Residents are urged to stay alert and exercise caution. The weather service advises, “Turn around, don’t drown” if encountering flooded roads or areas prone to flash flooding.

Officials recommend monitoring local weather updates and taking necessary precautions to stay safe amid the ongoing storm activity.
