Dense fog prompts advisory in parts of West Tennessee and northern Mississippi

A dense fog advisory is in effect for parts of West Tennessee and northern Mississippi this morning, according to the National Weather Service.

In some areas within the advisory zone, visibility has dropped to a quarter-mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions.

The agency recommends drivers exercise caution, reduce speed, and use headlights if traveling through affected areas. The advisory remains in effect until conditions improve later today.
