Cold front to bring weekend showers and thunderstorms, followed by cooler temperatures

An approaching cold front is expected to bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms this weekend, according to weather forecasts.

The front will likely cause unsettled weather conditions, with possible thunderstorms and rain across parts of the region.

After the front passes, temperatures are expected to drop to more typical, seasonable levels next week, providing relief from the warmer weather.
