12-Year-Old Wilson Hill Makes Stage Debut in ‘A Hairy Tale’ at Pontotoc Theater

Wilson Hill, 12, is making his theater debut as Lou the UPS Guy in the production of “A Hairy Tale” at Pontotoc Community Theater in Mississippi. The young actor said he is enjoying his first stage experience, especially getting to yell at the Big Bad Wolf.

Outside of theater, Wilson is involved in band, where he plays the clarinet, and he also participates in wrestling and archery. He enjoys playing chess and challenges himself by thinking several moves ahead, according to a theater spokesperson.

Wilson’s favorite animal is cats, and he prefers eating what he calls “soggy pizza.” The play runs at 106A North Main Street in Pontotoc, with performances scheduled for June 5 through June 7. Tickets are $10, cash only at the door, or can be purchased online up to an hour before each show.

Showtimes are June 5 at 7 p.m., June 6 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and June 7 at 2 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance. The show features a talented cast bringing the fairy tale to life for local audiences.
