Wind Advisory Issued for Parts of Arkansas and Missouri

A Wind Advisory will go into effect at 11 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Gusts approaching 40 mph are anticipated in northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel. Elsewhere, gusty conditions are expected to continue throughout the region.

Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items to prevent damage or injury from the strong winds, the weather service said.
