Crews are set to switch traffic from two lanes to a new four-lane configuration on State Route 15 in Union County on Monday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m., according to officials.
The change will occur along both directions of SR 15 between the Pontotoc County line and King’s Creek south of New Albany. The switch marks the completion of the final phase of the project to build a four-lane highway between Pontotoc and New Albany.
Construction crews will also activate a traffic signal at State Route 762 at the same time. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, stay alert for roadside workers, and be prepared for changing traffic conditions. Officials urge drivers to exercise caution during the transition.
