Strong Cold Front to Bring Gusty Winds and Storms to Memphis Area

A strong cold front is expected to arrive in the Memphis area tomorrow evening, according to the National Weather Service. Gusty winds exceeding 40 mph are forecast to begin in the morning, with the most intense winds arriving later in the day.

In the late afternoon and evening, a line of storms is expected to move through the region. The primary threats include damaging winds, potentially exceeding 75 mph, and embedded, quick-spinning tornadoes, NWS officials said.
