Pontotoc wins thriller to clinch 2-4A title, Friday night game cancelled
Pontotoc clinched the 2-4A football title and moved to 7-1 on the season with a 24-21 victory over IAHS on Friday in what turned out to be the final regular season game of the year for the Warriors after Shannon was forced to cancel the final game of the season due to COVID.
With the victory, Pontotoc gets a bye before opening up playoffs. This also coincides with Pontotoc moving to in person only school due to students being in quarantine.
As a result of the forfeit the Warriors finish the season 8-1 overall, 5-0 in division & will play next Friday, November 6th at home for the first round of playoffs.
