Forecasters warn that dangerously cold temperatures are expected to begin Friday evening. Residents are urged to prepare for the chill and possible disruptions.

Pepco-East Power Association (PEPA) reminds customers to stay safe during the cold snap. For outages or emergencies, residents in Pontotoc can call 662-489-6711, while Bruce residents can reach dispatch at 662-983-2727.

PEPA dispatchers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to assist with emergencies and outages during the cold weather period.
