Winter Storm Fern brought severe weather, impacting more than 18,000 meters in the service area, according to the local utility company.
Despite gusty winds, cold temperatures, and heavy rain, many community members offered support through encouragement, prayers, snacks, hot coffee, and handshakes, the company said.
Help also came from sister cooperatives in Mississippi and Missouri, which assisted in restoring power. The company praised their professionalism and teamwork, calling it the “co-op way.”
The utility emphasized that community solidarity strengthens resilience during emergencies and expressed gratitude to those who helped. The company also conveyed appreciation for the community’s patience and support during the outages.
