UMMC Restores Systems After Cyberattack, Clinics to Resume Operations Monday
The University of Mississippi Medical Center announced Monday that it has made significant progress in restoring its systems following a cyberattack last week. The hospital said it can now access patient records and will reopen clinics statewide for normal operations and scheduled appointments.
UMMC clinics will begin reaching out to patients to reschedule canceled appointments. The clinics will also extend hours and operate additional days to accommodate patient needs, the hospital stated.
All hospitals and emergency departments at UMMC remain open. Patients with urgent needs, such as prescription refills or postoperative care, are advised to call the UMMC Triage Line at 601-815-0000.
The hospital thanked the public for their patience and understanding as it continues to recover from the cyberattack, which disrupted services last week.
