UMMC Launches John D. Bower School of Population Health in 2016
The University of Mississippi Medical Center marked a significant milestone in 2016 with the launch of the John D. Bower School of Population Health.
At the time, it was one of only a few such schools nationwide, aiming to broaden UMMC’s mission from individual care to population-focused health solutions.
The school was established to address larger health challenges and improve community health outcomes. More details about its founding and the legacy behind its name are available on UMMC’s website.
