UMMC Closes All Clinics After Cybersecurity Attack

University of Mississippi Medical Center announced that all its clinic locations statewide are closed following a cybersecurity attack that disrupted its IT systems, including access to electronic medical records through Epic.

All outpatient and ambulatory surgeries, procedures, and imaging appointments have been canceled and will be rescheduled. Hospital services will continue for current patients using downtime procedures, according to UMMC officials.

The medical center apologized for the unexpected disruption and said it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
