Severe weather threat increases to slight risk in parts of Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee

The National Weather Service has upgraded the severe weather threat to a slight risk, classified as a level 2 out of 5, across portions of northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and northwest Tennessee.

The primary hazards are expected to be damaging winds and large hail, according to meteorologists. The chance of a tornado remains low but cannot be entirely ruled out.

Officials advise residents in the affected areas to stay alert and monitor weather updates as conditions may change. No injuries or damages have been reported at this time.
