Rain Chances Increase as Dry Air Aloft Hinders Surface Precipitation
Rain chances are expected to increase, but dry air aloft is preventing much of the moisture from reaching the ground, according to weather officials.
Minimal rainfall is forecasted to start the week, with dry conditions continuing into Tuesday. However, daily chances for showers and thunderstorms are expected to return Wednesday and persist through the following days.
The dry air aloft remains a challenge for widespread rainfall, even as atmospheric conditions become more favorable for precipitation later in the week, officials said.
