Pontotoc Community Theater premieres ‘Treasure Island’ with director and actor Jennifer Wright
Jennifer Wright, director and actor in the Pontotoc Community Theater’s production of ‘Treasure Island,’ encourages audiences to enjoy the show opening tonight. Wright, who has been involved with the theater for about 14 years, has directed 16 plays and appeared in 17 productions, according to the theater’s website.
Wright plays the pirate O’Brien in the play and is also the theater’s president. She expressed her enthusiasm for live theater, saying, “Watching live theater can be magical, and our hope is that the audience will have some laughs and be happy they came.” She added that, as her character O’Brien might say, it will be a “right jolly” time.
Outside of theater, Wright enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, practicing yoga, and taking walks with her dogs. She expressed gratitude for the dedicated cast and crew, noting that everyone is eager to welcome audiences this weekend.
