Opening night for ‘Treasure Island’ set for tomorrow

The community theater is set to open its production of ‘Treasure Island’ tomorrow night. The show features co-directors Emily Richardson and Jennifer Wright, who previously collaborated on last year’s ‘Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way.’

Richardson, who also serves as the assistant director and appears as the towncrier, is a retired theater enthusiast. She decided to return to the stage to challenge herself and spend time with her family and new friends. This marks her sixth appearance on the theater’s stage and her third time directing, according to the theater’s website.

Richardson, who is also the theater’s board co-treasurer, enjoys gardening, reading, and playing the banjo in her spare time. She expressed excitement about working on the play and collaborating with the cast.

Tickets are available online and at the box office, which opens 30 minutes before each performance. The production will have four showings this weekend, offering ample opportunity for audiences to experience the adaptation.
