North Pontotoc 8th Grade Team Caps Off Perfect Season
ECRU, MS — The North Pontotoc 8th grade football team closed out their season in dominant Viking fashion last night, sealing a perfect, undefeated record and making a bold statement about the program’s future.
The Vikings capped off their impressive campaign with a convincing win in their season finale, showcasing the same grit, teamwork, and discipline that defined their entire season. With last night’s victory, North Pontotoc finished the year with an unblemished record, a rare and commendable accomplishment at any level of competition.
From the opening week, the team proved themselves as a force to be reckoned with, combining a high-powered offense with a tenacious defense. Week after week, they outplayed their opponents with precision, heart, and commitment to each other and the game.
The season featured standout performances from across the roster, but it was the unity of the team that set them apart. Whether it was key stops on defense or explosive plays on offense, every player had a hand in the team’s historic run.
As the season concludes, the future looks bright for North Pontotoc football. With this group moving up, expectations will be high — and deservedly so.
Coach Collier states, “All the credit goes to the boys and their work ethic. We came together with a goal back in January and the kids got after it in the weight room throughout the Spring and Summer in preparation for the season. They were coachable and brought great intensity every day in practice.”
Congratulations to the North Pontotoc 8th grade team on a phenomenal, undefeated season, led by head Coach Ivan Collier and Assistant Coaches SchDarren Archie, Brandon Flake, Caleb Todd, and Logan Cannerdy.
