National Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory for Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a weather alert for Thursday, warning of strong southerly winds across the region.

The winds could make travel difficult for high-profile vehicles, especially along and west of the Mississippi River, the agency said.

There is a low risk of severe weather, including damaging winds and a brief tornado, primarily in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Residents and travelers are advised to stay alert for changing weather conditions and exercise caution during the windy period, the weather service added.
